Measuring comes before acting — that’s the starting point of any serious approach. Like the rest of the Mont-Blanc Collection group, Hôtel des 2 Gares relies on Fairscore: an independent assessment developed by Fairmoove that calculates the real carbon footprint of a night’s stay with us, breakfast included, based on verifiable data. Far from a marketing badge, this score is our steering tool to progress, season after season, towards more sustainable hospitality.
Breakfast
Caring for the environment starts on the plate too. Every morning, our breakfast buffet showcases local produce: jams from Confitures de la Création (made in Passy), fruit juices from Savoie, regional cheeses and cured meats, among others. Fewer miles travelled, more flavour on the plate, and direct support for our valley’s economy.
In your room
Our rooms are equipped with the connected Luniwave device, which helps guests make more mindful use of water in the shower. In the bathroom, our Terre de Mars amenities are designed to reduce their impact. Locally made and refillable, they keep single-use plastic out of your room.
Behind the scenes, waste sorting is part of our daily routine, and our food waste goes to our own composting system rather than the regular bin.
